We are thrilled to share a 12-month FTC opportunity for a Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact Lead to join the Colleague Experience and Social Impact Team at NHS Business Services Authority.

We are looking for someone with experience leading and supporting a new multi-disciplinary team, whilst helping to shape and lead our strategic Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact agenda’s. Leading multiple transformation projects and being a change champion across the business for wellbeing, safeguarding and social impact, ensuring these are embedded in our culture and ways of working. Working collaboratively as a senior member of the wider People Team and with other key senior stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring we measure the success and effectiveness of our approach.

As the NHSBSA Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact Lead you will lead the continued transformation of the organisations Wellbeing Strategy and strategic approach to corporate Volunteering and Fundraising - aligning these to our Business, People, and Diversity & Inclusion strategies. You will also work in close partnership with the Inclusion, Accessibility and Social Impact Lead and team in creating a new strategic approach to social impact for the organisation. Leading multiple transformation projects spanning these areas, you will act as an agent for change.

You will oversee and lead the provision of highly specialist advice and expertise on all matters of wellbeing and safeguarding, and ensure that robust multi-agency arrangements are in place to protect vulnerable colleagues and customers of our services.

You will set the vision for and lead the team, enabling them to develop and grow their internal confidence and capabilities through an inclusive and compassionate leadership approach.

Job Purpose

As Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact Lead, this role is accountable for leading the strategic direction of Wellbeing, Safeguarding and Social Impact within the NHSBSA, continuing the transformation of our wellbeing, safeguarding, volunteering and fundraising strategic offerings. The post holder will bring creative and innovative ideas that are contemporary to ensure these strategies enable our people to be at their best and support retainment of colleagues at the NHSBSA, contributing to the delivery of an excellent colleague experience, and ultimately deliver the People and business strategy.

The post holder will lead multi-disciplinary organisational programmes of work from start to finish that cover a wide breadth of complex areas including Wellbeing, Mental Health, Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding, Volunteering and Fundraising. They will also be accountable for leading the design and performance of highly specialist internal and external support services within these areas.
