*About the site*

Normanton is home to our head office and is also the largest of our operational sites where we pack fresh fruit, salad and vegetables.

Several of our support functions are based here as well as the majority of our Commercial and Buying teams. Our pack house is in operation 24 hours a day and 364 days a year, employing over 700 colleagues. We offer a broad range of roles based at site from Production Operatives to Technical Managers, Business Unit Administrators to IT Specialists.

*About the Role*

We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Buying Assistant to join the team at our Normanton site. As the Buying Assistant, you will support the Buying team to assist in making informed decisions, manage accurate administration throughout all duties and manage communications to all relevant parties.

As a confident communicator, you will communicate with suppliers, and other elements of the supply chain, maintain a high level of admin accuracy, attention to detail with a focus on numeracy and supplier claims

As the Buying Assistant you will ensure all administration satisfies the GSCOP process and assist the buying team in delivering key strategic focuses in supplier management.

*The working hours for this role are 9:15am - 2:30pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.*

*Please note that this is an office based role.*

*Skills and Experience Required: *

With excellent communication and administrative skills, you should have experience of working within a fast-paced high volume environment, ideally within a customer focused function.
