Howdens are recruiting a Quality Assistant to join our team at Howdens Work Surfaces, our solid surfaces production facility in Normanton, West Yorkshire. As a Quality Assistant you will support customer and supplier problem resolution with our manufacturing processes and help to engineer quality improvements.

**Pay rate and shift pattern**:

- £30,100.20 per annum + monthly production bonus
- Day shift (Mon - Thu 6:30am - 3:30pm Friday 6:30am - 11:30am)

**The role**:

- Primarily supporting the Quality Inspector or Co-ordinator providing them with data and results from product or process measurements
- Supporting in resolving issues within hard surfaces manufacturing processes
- Supporting goods in supplier assessment and resolving customer complaints
- Assisting in supporting site calibration and document control

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous experience in a quality environment
- NVQ level 2 in manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
- A FLT licence would be an advantage
- Self-motivated and have a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
