Exceptional care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio, in a Residential setting in Skelmersdale, Lancashire

**Who are Exceptional Care?**

Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children’s service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and EBD. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West.

Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs, to this end we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person.

**Your role as a Residential Child Care Worker**:
You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, and help towards the bright future they deserve; attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs. Safeguarding each young person at all times.

You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties.

You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, and be the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.

You will be part of a team who work together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person is achieving positive outcomes and learning experiences.

**Required Criteria**
- 6-12 months experience within Childrens Residential Setting

**Desired Criteria**
- Driver (preferred)
- NVQ L3 / L4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce (preferred or willing to work towards)
