H Tempest Ltd is the nation’s largest school photography company with over 500 employees.

Our Head Office and Laboratory is based in St Ives, Cornwall and our Photographers are resident throughout the UK.

We take photographs of children at playgroups and nurseries, primary and secondary schools and graduates at universities and colleges as well as the Armed Forces and Corporate Photography.

We are now recruiting for an Event Coordinator due to staff changes for our academic gowning division.

This is a super exciting time for us as we continue to win accounts and drive the business forward.

The role is primarily based in Cornwall with time split between our head office (in Lelant) and our gowning warehouse (in Redruth) and approximately 20% of the time being based at events throughout the UK (especially in our peak period in July).

**As our Event Coordinator you will be responsible for**:
**Customer Management**

Acting as the dedicated point of contact to allocated clients, you will responsible for overall client contact both throughout the year and during the event.

From facilitating event preparation meetings and conference calls, to capturing client requirements and translating them into actionable plans, the Event Coordinator will need to provide an extremely high level of customer service in a professional, approachable manner.

In addition, from an ‘IT’ standpoint the Event Coordinator will work closely with other team members on the import and management of data on the online ordering portal.

**Event Preparation**

Operating in a variety of venues throughout the UK, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all pre-event preparation is completed on time including; planning and overseeing material packing, developing timelines and forecasts for packing and shipping, managing the in-house team of packing staff, working with the graduation team to staff events, and planning and booking all required hotels, venues and freight transport.

**Event Management**

Once on-site at an event, the Event Coordinator will be responsible for overall event management.

Not only operating as the key point of contact/accountability for our clients but also our team at the event.

- Someone who is meticulous - a planner and a doer with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think on their feet.
- Deadlines aren’t a problem for this person - nor is working under pressure.
- We’re a small team so collaboration is key, as is the ability to be autonomous.
- A high level of proficiency with the MS office suite is essential.
- A full, clean driving license with their own transport to/from the office.
