**Contracts Manager**

**Home Based - Midlands (Birmingham, Worcester, Coventry)**

**£38,000 - £42,000 plus car / allowance (£5k)**

The successful Contracts Manager will be home-based ideally in the Birmingham, Worcester or Coventry area but working as part of a strong team (both office & field based), dealing with property repairs / reinstatement works within a designated patch aroundyour postcode. Ideally, this would suit a Contracts Manager who is keen to expand their current skills and experience (residential repairs / extensions / renovations) into specialising within the insurance industry.

Insurance industry experience isn’t essential but you will need to be keen to learn the principals of insurance and ideally have a drive to progress into a more subsidence speciality role over time (additional training & support will be provided in termsof qualifications & memberships).

Experience having used Symbility, Xactimate, Blueprint, Synergy or similar (or being very IT confident & willing to learn a new system) is required for this role.

**Contracts Manager job role and responsibilities**
- Manage a case load of property reinstatement projects (domestic & commercial)
- Schedule repairs/redecoration works and produce scopes
- Manage contractors and repairs projects to completion (inc. cost management)
- Ensure Health & Safety / CDM compliance & carry out site audits
- Identify new contractors for addition to the network as required
- Performance manage/audit the contractors in your area

**What skills/experience will you need?**

Experience in contract managing property refurbishments / renovation projects is essential. Some insurance claim damage or subsidence experience/knowledge would be ideal as you will be dealing with the 'post subsidence stabilisation’ reinstatement works(crack repairs/redecoration etc.).
- Ideally, you will have worked for a loss adjuster, insurance company or specialist contractor and in the private sector.
- Some knowledge of insurance claims or fire/flood/water/subsidence damage to properties would be highly advantageous (but not essential).
- Working knowledge of; Asbestos Handling, CDM, DPA, H&S, Party Wall Act is required.
- Ideally; a building/technical related qualification such as an HNC or Building Surveying/Engineering Degree (not essential with the right experience).
- You will need strong customer service, communication & organisational skills, be IT literate and have a full UK driving licence.

**Additional Information**

In addition to the salary (negotiable around £38-42k depending upon experience), the company provide some excellent additional benefits (car / allowance), pension, death in service etc.
