We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic** Accountant **to join our Capex Portfolio team who are responsible for NGET’s capital investment plan valuing at c£20bn over the next 10 years

As a **Finance Partner**, you’ll play a key role in the development of NGET’s regulatory Price Control 2026 (PC26) business plan. Working closely with the wider business you’ll support in the coordination and consolidation of the business plan submissions, providing assurance and challenging the plan to ensure an optimal, well justified plan is submitted to the regulator, Ofgem. You’ll develop analysis and propose solutions for PC26 allowance mechanisms such as Real Price Effects, Closely Associated Indirect and other areas of cost based on lessons learnt from the RIIO-T2 framework. You’ll analyse unit costs and volumes in order to test and challenge business plans and their suitability for submission to Ofgem and will develop, review and challenge robust Cost Benefit Analysis for key projects including Site Strategies. You’ll get insight into the strategic context underpinning what the NGET business does and the complexities it faces with developing a robust plan. There will also be opportunity to support the business with RIIO-T2 funding request submissions (i.e., reopeners) in order to obtain optimal allowances from Ofgem for NGET’s key projects.

This is a great role for someone who is looking to make a move in to their first **Finance Business Partner role **and is keen to understand NGET’s regulatory deal and regulatory framework, how NGET makes money under the RIIO-T2 deal and how different capex components of the framework work in practice.

**About You**:
Let’s talk about you You’re a qualified or near qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting experience. You have strong stakeholder management experience and are able to talk finance to both finance and non-finance colleagues. You’ve had exposure to business patterning and are now really looking to develop your skills and grow in the business partnering space. You have financial modelling, financial investment, and appraisal experience as well as advanced excel skills.

**What You'll Get**:
£45,000-£52,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
