Vacancy Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your local community? Do you have a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Housing Service as a Housing Allocations Officer.

As a Housing Allocations Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the fair and efficient allocation of social housing within the West Berkshire area. Reporting to the Housing Allocations Team Leader, you will be responsible for:

- Carrying out property viewings and inspections
- Maintaining accurate records and databases
- Liaising with housing providers and external agencies
- Providing advice and support to applicants and tenants

To excel in this role, you should have:

- A good understanding of housing legislation and allocations procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
