As an Income Collection Officer, you will be responsible for managing the collection of service charges and other rental income, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Calculate and issue service charge invoices to tenants in accordance with lease agreements and relevant regulations.
- Review service charge budgets, expenditure, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and transparency in financial transactions.
- Address inquiries and disputes related to service charge calculations, adjustments, and billing discrepancies.
- Monitor rent payments and service charge arrears, taking proactive measures to minimise arrears and maximise income collection.
- Contact tenants with outstanding balances to arrange payment plans and resolve outstanding debts in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with legal and debt recovery services as necessary to escalate overdue accounts and initiate recovery proceedings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of income collection, service charge payments, and arrears management activities.
- Prepare regular financial reports and analysis on income performance, arrears levels, and collection trends for management review.
- Communicate effectively with tenants regarding their financial obligations, payment options, and support services available.
- Provide guidance and assistance to tenants experiencing financial difficulties, signposting to relevant resources and assistance programs.

GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.

Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
