Join us as **Administrative Assistant,** working within Children and Young Peoples Services (CYP), in our **North and East Ipswich and Coastal Business Support Team.**

**Your role and responsibilities**

Our business support team provides administrative support to the Practitioners and Managers supporting children and families across our locality area.

You will:

- have a varied workload enabling you to use a variety of communication, administrative and financial skills and experience
- have the full support of your team members both within the local and wider team together with opportunities to continue to learn and develop your skills
- process requests for goods and services making arrangements for payment with suppliers ensuring accurate records of transactions are maintained
- at times, be required to minute meetings and deal with requests for information and data
- be required to update case recording systems on a regular basis ensuring information is accurate and recorded in a timely fashion.

There may be on occasion a requirement to work from the other offices in our locality from time to time to cover staff absences or for induction and training purposes.

**You will need**
- excellent IT skills, in particular for Microsoft packages (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.) with the ability and willingness to learn new systems
- strong interpersonal and communication skills and a good understanding of how to deliver a positive customer service experience
- a willingness to work flexibly as part of a team
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy as well as an understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements in the workplace.
