Bydd gennych wybodaeth eang o faterion cyfoes Cymru a’r Byd, dealltwriaeth wych o dirlun gwleidyddol Cymru a’r awch i weithio ar y straeon mawr sy’n siapo bywydau pobl Cymru.

Bydd disgwyl i chi ymchwilio i straeon, chwilio am gyfranwyr a datblygu rhwydwaith o gysylltiadau fel rhan o’n tim cynhrychu ar ‘Y Byd yn ei Le’. Byddwch yn paratoi dogfennau cefndir, yn cynllunio ffilmio gyda chyfranwyr a’n cynhyrchu elfennau o gynnwys digidol y cyfresi.

Ry ni’n chwilio am berson sy’n llawn syniadau hefyd am straeon uchelgeisiol i gyfres ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’. Bydd angen i chi weithio mewn amgylchedd heriol gyda’r gallu i ymateb yn gyflym i straeon sydd yn torri.

**The team**

ITV News delivers high quality and trustworthy coverage attracting record audiences.

**The role**

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate journalist to join the current affairs production team, working across the Welsh language brands ‘Y Byd yn ei Le’, ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’ and our digital output.

You will have extensive knowledge of current affairs in Wales and the World, a great understanding of the political landscape in Wales and an ambition to cover the biggest stories that matter to the people of Wales.

You will be researching stories and finding contributors as part of our political team for ‘Y Byd yn ei Le’, writing background briefs and producing various digital elements for the series.

You will have an abundance of ambitious story ideas for our ‘Y Byd ar Bedwar’ series, the ability to research thoroughly and react to breaking news stories in a fast paced environment.

**The ability to speak and write in Welsh to a high standard is essential.**

**Skills you’ll need**
- Strong communication and Welsh language skills
- Keen interest in political coverage and excellent knowledge of Welsh, UK and Worldwide current affairs.
- Thorough and accurate research skills
- The ability to work to deadlines with experience of working under pressure is essential
- Great understanding of digital platforms and strategies
