To provide a high standard of administrative and secretarial support to the ADNs, ensuring a professional, efficient and confidential service at all times in order to ensure that the working life of the ADNs runs as smoothly as possible.

The post holder will need to work autonomously and will be responsible for implementing administrative processes to support the effective running of the ADNs office and Institute of Care Excellence.

Responsible for ensuring progress on actions are delivered by the ADNs within agreed timescales, dealing with matters often in the ADNs absence.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for managing and organising multi diaries. This will involve prioritising appointments, taking the initiative where appropriate to arrange meetings to ensure the best use of time and raising instances where priorities conflict. The post holder will ensure that the purpose of meetings and other appointments are always clearly stated. Take notes and minutes at meetings as required picking out key points from the discussions.

To work effectively with other Admin staff to ensure cross cover for holidays and other absences and ensure work is delivered on time.

To demonstrate confidence and professionalism in interacting with people at levels and to have appropriate knowledge and understanding of Trust policies and procedures.

To support the Assistant Directors of Nursing and Team in all elements of administrative procedures, which will require flexibility in the work routine and working to targets and deadlines.

Experience

Essential criteria
- Experience working as a PA or senior secretarial
- Substantial administration experience

Desirable criteria
- Use of electronic diary systems
- Experience of working in an NHS organisation

Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria
- 2 GCSE's or equivalent including English
- Typing or word processing qualification

Desirable criteria
- Educated to degree level
- Shorthand

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
