**JOB SUMMARY**:
The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for providing strategic vision and operational HR support and expertise in all areas of the employee life cycle. This position will consult with leaders on engagement strategy, HR policies and procedures, and assist employees with HR related queries. It is a highly collaborative position, working closely with the Head of HR Europe, European and the extended global HR Team.
Whilst working independently, this position will also participate in local, business unit and global projects.
**What you will do**:
- Build and maintain relationships with employees and colleagues in a professional and personable manner, adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality on matters that require discretion
- Deliver development programs for employees and managers on HR topics
- Act as a central HR contact person for the Business Unit advising on HR policies and procedures
- Effectively lead and manage employee relations issues (end-to-end processes) by researching, investigating, presenting solutions and ensuring successful closure of employee issues
- Effectively manage relationship with Trade Unions representatives, demonstrating understanding of the unionized environment and experience of balancing the business and unions’ interests
- Participate in and lead the HR and payroll procedures (new hires, terminations, promotions, merit increases etc.)
- Under guidance and upon request of Head of HR Europe partner with legal and external counsel, where relevant, on negotiating termination, severance agreements, redundancies
- Ensure all onboarding and off-boarding activities are delivered and improvement action items followed up
- Support the annual performance management processes, as well as other HR projects
- Manage the UK employee benefits
- Ensure data integrity is maintained for all HRIS technologies, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
- Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reporting
- Lead training and development programs, delivering training sessions within approved training schedule
- Work closely with Head of HR on designing new training materials
**What you will bring**:
- Ability to build successful relationship with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ‘can do’ attitude
- A true hands-on approach, high level of employee engagement as well as the ability to successful monitor the "pulse" of employees
- Proficiency in MS Office packages, with strong Excel reporting skills
- Ability to execute, multi-task and thrive in an extremely fast paced, high growth environment by delivering effective and accurate results and meeting deadlines
- Excellent proficiency in verbal and written communication
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent education is preferred
- HR generalist experience of the full HR/employee lifecycle in a fast-paced environment, in manufacturing/FMCG environment within a unionised environment
- Experience of successfully and independently managing employee relation issues.
- HRIS user experience, Oracle-based systems preferred
- Experience of developing local HR policies and procedures, alongside interpreting UK employment legislation
