We have two vacancies for Apprentice Administrators to join the Business Support Team with Secure and Forensic Services at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an ideal opportunity for a school/college leaver or someone looking to start their administrative career within the NHS, whilst gaining a recognised qualification.

The Business Support Team is responsible for the provision of all aspects of administrative support to our clients and colleagues across all elements of our service including Police Stations, Prisons, Forensic Mental Health inpatient units both Medium and Low Secure, Community Forensic Teams, Mental Health Act Administration, Cash office and Receptions.

We are committed to offering the best possible administrative service and this requires us to work respectfully with each other and the wider Trust. You will learn about the various stages in a patient’s journey and the processes they go through, acquiring essential administration skills in the process. We will expect you to share our passion for achieving excellence.

You will work as part of a busy team and working together is an essential part of the ethos that drives us. This is a busy role with varying demands, so building an effective rapport with colleagues and being ready to take their guidance and offer your support will be really important.

As well as developing key administration skills you will work rotationally around all of the business support services offering a rare and varied insight into many different elements of administrative work.

This is an innovative opportunity as we look for smarter ways to respond to the challenges facing the NHS workforce.

As a busy service we have a responsibility to not only our clinical colleagues but also the patients that are accessing our service. We therefore work positively to make sure we provide a high level of customer service. This role will include interaction and communication with a wide scope of people including service users, medical and criminal justice professionals. We are, to many, the first point of contact with the Trust, so we are looking for someone who can demonstrate they understand how key good communication and customer service.
