We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and creative People Support Officer to join our lovely People Support team. You will have a genuine passion for making a positive difference to people’s experience at work.

This is an exciting opportunity to help us build on the People Strategy we have introduced over the last year; focused on ensuring staff wellbeing is supported and colleagues have opportunities to be heard; demonstrating how we have listened to staff and how this is used to shape and improve their wellbeing, experience, whilst supporting inclusion and belonging. You will also play a key role in supporting the Trust’s participation in the annual NHS Staff Survey and National Quarterly Pulse Surveys, therefore understanding and interpreting data are an essential part of this role.

You will have the support and expertise of your People Support team colleagues enabling you to offer a more holistic and inclusive approach. Our focus on improving staff experience ultimately supports our vision to provide our patients with the best care possible.

1. To deliver an engagement and wellbeing programmes that will inspire and engage employees

2. Support the annual NHS Staff Survey process and quarterly People Pulse Survey (or equivalent)

3. To assist teams within the organisation to support staff well-being and engagement

4. To communicate and share good practice, using resources available and working closely with the Engagement/Well-being champions

5. To be compassionate, respectful and being responsible in meeting the well-being needs of staff

6. To work across the clinical groups and teams to support well-being and engagement initiatives

8. To be an autonomous practitioner in liaising with external agencies in relation to staff well being and engagement initiatives

9. To work with other agencies in joint initiatives and planning of wellbeing and engagement events

10. To promote a positive image of the People Support Team and the wider Trust

1. Supporting the programme of work linked to the Trust’s participation in the annual NHS Staff Survey.

2. Co-ordinate the staff Quarterly People Pulse Survey (or equivalent) and Annual Staff Survey processes and any other staff engagement tools the trust deploys. This includes designing staff engagement survey questions, communications, implementation, analysis and the production of reports.

3. Analyse NHS Staff Survey, People Pulse feedback, other survey tools results, and share with suitable audiences; contributing to the development, implementation and monitoring of subsequent action plans to improve the experiences of staff working within the Trust.

4. Contribute to the identification and development of additional methods of measuring staff satisfaction levels.

5. Work with committees and steering groups to manage, develop and implement well being and engagement programmes that deliver targets e.g. improved mental well being, reduced work related stress, reduced work related MSK problems, improved staff morale.

6. Champion staff engagement and well-being approaches in all Clinical Groups and disciplines across the Trust. Inspiring and empowering leadership teams to understand the value of supporting staff wellbeing and promoting positive staff engagement practices.

7. To develop and maintain links with operational managers to discuss their staff well being and engagement needs and advise as necessary.
