The post holder will provide specialist assessments of possible ADHD in the context of children presenting with a mixed neurodevelopmental profile, and nursing interventions including pharmacological aspects to children who require it; participate in review of clinical policies and guidelines relevant to the area and support and implement changes to practice; liaise with other organisations and professionals to promote communication and good practice; be able to undertake audit activity and supervision and training to other staff in service area/care group. To have an understanding of psychosocial interventions to include psycho-education of children with ADHD in the context of a mixed neurodevelopmental picture (specifically with comorbid Autism Spectrum Disorder), and be able to deliver these to children and their families, wellness recovery action plans, and discharge planning **.
