Our client is an accountancy practice based in Seaford, East Sussex is run by one of the local areas most experienced and qualified accountants with over 35 years accountancy practice. They offer a unique and personalised range of accountancy and taxation services.

Due to continued success and growth they are currently looking to recruit an Experience Payroll Officer to join their team.

Duties Will Include:

- Calculating pension contributions in line with auto enrolment.
- Maintain employee records.
- Update and upload pension details.
- Recording starter and leaver information.
- Recording HMRC payments and advising finance.
- Dealing with queries from employees regarding pay/pension.
- Calculation pro rata holidays etc
- Will be up to date with all payroll procedures including PAYE, RTI, Auto enrolment and statutory calculations
- The essential requirement of this role is previous experience working for multiple clients within a bureau setting.
- Experience using Xero would be highly beneficial
- Accountancy practice payroll bureau experience is essential for this role. To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of payroll experience and practical knowledge of payroll systems
- Will be able to complete their duties while remaining friendly and approachable.
- You will need excellent communication and IT skills with a professional approach.
- Using Xero for CIS payments and returns - requesting invoices, UTR and reconciling
- Billing payroll/CIS/VAT/XERO/DEXT invoices (monthly and quarterly)
- Xero updates re PAYE and CIS
- Corporation tax reminders and general queries
- Assisting with incoming phone calls
- HMRC queries employer and employee
- Set up GOCARDLESS subscriptions
- CIS refunds2727

- Dealing with The Pension Regulator
- Debt chasing on a weekly basis
- Check HMRC codes/student loan notices
- Inform clients if overdue PAYE to HMRC (quarterly)
- Pay calculation.
- RTI online submissions.
- Calculation of statutory payments.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

- Monday to Friday

- Seaford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
