Upton, United Kingdom Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you interested in the development and transformation of maternity care for parents, babies and families on the Wirral?

Wirral Maternity Voices Partnership are looking for a new Lead. The Lead role would suit someone who is passionate about developing maternity care and engaging with parents and families from across the diverse communities of the Wirral. This role requires some flexibility in terms of time but we also recognise and work around where possible the other commitments you may have including work and parenting.

User feedback is one of the best ways to monitor the quality of a service.

**MNVP is a NHS collaborative working group**: a team consisting of parents and their families, people who contract services, and those who provide maternity services (including midwives, doctors, nurses). They work together to review all aspects of the service and ensure any feedback received helps inform future changes and improvements made.

The MNVP works with local maternity services and actively seeks the views and opinions of all parents and families using the service. This helps make changes that are meaningful and helps meet the diverse needs of our local population. The MNVP also acts as a way of passing on the views of people who use maternity services in the Wirral area to those who provide them. This can be done via MNVP meetings, forums, via questionnaires and social media.

**The type of duties may include**:

- Act as a contact for enquiries to the Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP)
- Regularly post MNVP activity on any local MNVP Social Media pages
- Regularly share links to the local MNVP website (if applicable) and any online surveys via social media
- Attend and chair formal MNVP meetings (these will vary between each MNVP)
- Ensure all stakeholders are able to contribute to the meeting. Actively encourage seldom heard voices to be involved
- Induct new service user reps
- Actively seek out the voice and engage with Black and Minority Ethnic communities
- Offer ongoing support to service user reps
- Meet regularly with service user reps a number of times per year (service user meetings/coffee mornings)
- Networking with other MNVPs
- Actively participate on the MSLC Leaders and Members Social Media groups (which includes National Maternity Voices, the group of MNVP service user chairs in England)
- Work closely with Local Maternity System and Provider Trust (Head of Midwifery.

We don’t expect you to have all of these skills and experience to start with and we will help you to develop them. A willingness to learn is essential.

All new colleagues can expect to receive a warm and friendly Wirral welcome from the very first time they make contact with us. We are described as “competent and caring staff” by our patients.

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is situated on The Wirral peninsula which has a stunning coastline and beautiful countryside surroundings, with great activities for its residents.
