The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all the NHS antenatal and new-born screening programmes within the Trust consistent with the UK national screening Committee recommendations (UK NSC) and National programme standards.

The postholder will provide clinical expertise, professional direction and leadership to midwives and Maternity support workers.

The post holder will action, implement and monitor the quality assurance of all the Screening Programmes ensuring that appropriate failsafe systems are in place, confirming that all population screening is undertaken to the highest standard.

They will provide regular formal updates on the performance of the screening Programmes to the screening commissioners at NHS England and the REGIONAL Quality Assurance team.
