Purchasing and Stock Control Co-ordinator

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing & Stock Control Co-Ordinator to join our newest client in Llandrindod Wells. The company are specialists in the design and manufacture of instrumentation for climate change studies. This is a temporary to permanent position with a competitive wage dependent on experience. The working hours are as follows:
- Monday - Friday
- 37 Hours a week
Roles and Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of our product range; to include how they are built; the components required and how they combine into working systems.
- Operate the In-house System for new Sales Orders - usually daily.
- Maintain product bill of materials.
- Maintain pre-defined stock levels (part of Sage 50).
- Order stock from various suppliers as highlighted by in-house reports.
- Work with the Production & Product teams on sourcing components, and order other parts as requested.
- Liaise with suppliers to make sure components can be delivered on-time to meet our strict lead times
- Set up and maintain component call-off schedules with suppliers.
- Source replacement components/parts.
- Reduce component costs where possible without compromise on quality.
- Maintain the Supplier Quality System.
- Liaise with the Product Designer & Product Developers to source components for new designs.
- Obtain quotes from suppliers.
- Operate the Goods Inspection System.
- Manage the Goods-In system.
- Maintain the Drawings Register System.
- Implement new systems which contribute to department/company efficiency and profitability.
- Produce monthly reports for the Co-Ordination Team.
- Identify the components and products that are to be purchased.
- Identify the most appropriate supplier for the products.
- Confirm all aspects of pricing and confirm all deliveries.
- Maintain the stock control system.
- Maintain the Supplier Process as part of our ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Communicate with production, test and sales departments to identify any component shortages or alternatives in necessary.

Experience and Qualifications
- Experience of IT/data management
- Experience of using SAGE Accounts 50 desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Business Objects or similar reporting packages
- 5 GCSE’s or equivalent (including Maths and English to Grade ‘C’ or above)
**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
**Salary**: £13,987.31-£38,506.67 per year
