Chesterfield, United Kingdom Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust Full time

This is an exciting opportunity to lead our sexual health outreach team.

Within this role you will be able to inspire and motivate our outreach team to continue to deliver and build upon their outreach offer.

Our outreach team delivers sexual health education and support as well distributing free condoms and STI screens to individuals and organisations across the community. We attend festivals, Pride events, schools, colleges and city/town centre venues across Derbyshire.

We have a much loved sexual health outreach van which means we can deliver flexible and responsive outreach sessions, including on board STI / HIV screening and condom distribution. You will be responsible for co-ordinating the use of this within the team.

Our outreach is continually evolving and responding to the needs of our communities, and as lead for this service, you will have a role in shaping this for the future.

This is a varied role, where no two days will be the same. You will lead a small, friendly and passionate team of Sexual Health Outreach workers.

You will work across Derbyshire to develop a robust programme of work which will deliver advice, support and education within universal settings.

You will support proactive use of our vehicle to deliver outreach work, condoms and STI screening kits across the team and within the wider service.

We are a rewarding place to work

There are few careers that are as rewarding as one in the NHS, or that give you the opportunity to work with such a variety of people.

We actively recruit people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience. This helps us understand the different needs of the communities we work within and provide the best possible service.

Whichever area you join, you become part of a talented, passionate team of people, committed to providing the best care and treatment to patients. You will also enjoy one of the most competitive and flexible benefits packages offered by any employer in the UK.

Sexual Health is Outstanding

Our Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated us Outstanding. If you join us you will be joining a friendly, passionate and diverse team, full of drive and expertise to improve the sexual health of all.
