**Job Purpose**

The role is for a highly-motivated Disability Sports Officer who believes in the power of sport and the opportunities which the brand of a professional football club can give to local people with a disability, and who can play a pivotal role delivering a successful inclusive disability sports programme across all of the Palace for Life areas.

**Job Summary**
- You will be responsible for delivering the Disability department's KPI’s and ensuring it is complementing and supporting inclusion work across all areas of the organisation.
- To assist in the planning, preparation, and delivery of a high-quality disability football and sports programme across Bromley, Sutton, Tandridge, Lambeth and Croydon boroughs.
- To organise and deliver regular school sessions at Primary, Secondary and Special Education and Mainstream schools. Working closely with the Foundation's Schools team to positively co-market our overall delivery packages.
- Develop links with new impairment-specific groups to set up and deliver sessions.
- Assist in maintaining all current funding streams and funded projects, ensuring the on-going financial viability and growth of the department through a quality delivery programme. This could include generating any bids for small grants and expanding our avenues of income streams to support the Foundation’s disability delivery.
- The line management of a small pool of sessional disability coaches delivering high-quality sessions across all our activities., utilising the Sports Fusion coach management system. Hold regular 121 meetings, develop a personal development plan for the coaches and communicate effectively to other coaches on a regular basis.
- Provide coaching cover for additional delivery sessions where a regular coach is unable to attend for whatever reason.
- Updating the Salesforce online monitoring and evaluation system and to assist with the completion of monitoring and finance reports for the Premier League Charitable Fund and other partners.
- Report to the Disability Manager on the achievement of a series of key performance indicators and general updates for each programme.
- Liaise regularly with other Officers within the Foundation, including Disability Inclusion Coordinator, Primary Schools, Community Development, Targeted Interventions, and Employability, to share good practice, and attend regular Officers meetings to promote cross-working.
- Quality assurance of disability football sessions delivered by the Foundation in all boroughs, making sure the Foundation/Club’s safeguarding guidelines are in place and all compliance measures are enforced.
- Consistently check and challenge all our customer focus activities and seek feedback to constantly improve the product we are delivering to participants, parents and the community.
- Liaise with the communications team on a regular basis to increase the profile of the disability programmes.
- Produce marketing materials and promote the brand of Palace for Life throughout our activities and venues.
- Liaise with internal and external partners, including Premier League, County FAs, Primary and Secondary School staff, Local Authority Sports Development teams, sector partners such as Royal Society for Blind Children and the Down’s Syndrome Association, Grass Roots Clubs, and any other relevant partners in Sutton, Bromley, Lambeth, Croydon and Tandridge.
- Organise and support special events to assist in the promotion of the Foundation’s activities. This may include matchdays and fundraising events.
- To create, maintain and update media information and case studies, to measure the impact of the programmes.
- To commit to other duties required in line with the responsibilities of the post.

Essential_**
- Sound sports development or school sport / disability knowledge and experience with a proven track record of achievement and quality session delivery.
- The ability to develop and maintain relationships with SEND schools and their staff, including head teachers, PE teachers and receptionists
- Possess an FA coaching qualification minimum Level 1 standard and be compliant regards safeguarding and first aid qualifications.
- A passion and interest in developing a career in the sport for social change sector, particularly supporting young and disadvantaged people with a disability
- An interest in delivering football sessions to children with a disability.
- Commitment to a high-quality physical education, school and community sport programme
- Experience of working with young people with different impairments and working closely with fellow staff/coaches
- Experience of working to tight deadlines without close supervision.
- Self-motivated and the ability to work well within a team.
