**About us**:
SMC was founded by Shaun Marnell in 1998 with the establishment of Sandridge Motor Company on the Wirral, it was from this venture that SMC began to emerge as a notable hire and body repair centre, and the superior quality of services offered, quickly led to a significant base of satisfied customers. By 2000, SMC was firmly established as a body repair centre and it was at this point when we were approached by a private hire driver, who, unable to put a vehicle on the road himself, enquired about hiring a vehicle from SMC, happy to help, SMC assisted the driver and this initial partnership worked well paving the way for a fast-growing portfolio of satisfied settle drivers. Through working in partnership with taxi drivers, SMC became aware of the lack of services and support available to drivers in the event of a non-fault accident. Realising the problems that drivers faced, SMC set about correcting the situation, offering an all-encompassing service which gave rise to the current aspects of SMC today.

SMC has grown significantly over the past 18 years both in size and services offered, we have been industry innovators and have reduced the amount of time it takes to get a driver back on the road and earning after an accident, from two weeks to a matter of hours, offering recovery, insurance, meters and plates, the demand for our unique services means that we can now offer plated vehicles in any areas mentioned below, and in most cases have them ready on the same day.

The role is for someone that has a keen interest in wanting to develop themselves within a business and create it into their own, they will have the full support of the office manager and the rest of the administration team in fulfilling their apprenticeship, supporting and engaging with different parts of the organisation dealing with internal or external customers.

**Main duties will include**:

- Filing
- Photocopying
- Scanning
- Answering the telephone
- Dealing with clients both on the telephone and face-to-face visitors to the company
- Data input
- Invoicing
- General day-to-day administration
- Reception duties
- Dealing with incoming enquiries from clients
- Dealing with the hiring of different vehicles for customers
- Supporting customers who may need body repair work on their vehicle
- Liaising with the garage on ordering car parts for vehicles.
