We are seeking an Apprentice Dog Groomer to join our team. As an Apprentice Dog Groomer, you will be responsible for supporting a qualified Dog Groomer with responsibilities surrounding the grooming environment. If you have a love for animals and a huge desire to learn a new qualification, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities will increase over time as you progress through the training apprenticeship. In the beginning you will be taught and expected to carry out such things as
- Bathing dogs
- Blow-drying and fluff drying dogs
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the salon
- Communication with dog owners during collection and drop-off
- Ear cleaning of dogs
- Brushing and prep work of a dog
- Learning on the job and through online work which can be completed off-site

Qualifications:

- No qualifications necessary as full training will be given through the apprenticeship
- Ability to handle pets with care and compassion
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality grooming results
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively

**Skills**:

- Heavy lifting: As a Pet Groomer, you may need to lift heavy pets or equipment during the grooming process.
- Animal care: A strong compassion for animals is essential.

We are a small business which prides itself on being friendly, respectful and supportive however, this is a very busy salon so we expect all team members to work to the best of their ability, whilst being tidy with your workspace and polite to customers who come into the salon.

**Salary**: £42.50 per day
