Are you passionate about improving the lives of people with breast cancer? Do you want to support women undergoing investigations for possible breast cancer? You'll need to have good communication and organisational skills to help patients from point of referral providing information and support whilst undergoing investigations for a possible cancer. The Breast Pathway Navigator role is pivotal in ensuring timely patient progression through their pathways to diagnosis or discharge.

You will join a well-established team of health care professionals (CNSs/PPC/CSWs/clinicians) passionate about improving the lives of people with cancer and supporting those from point of referral onwards. We work a Mon-Friday service and receive on average100 referrals a month. This will be a hospital-based role with some potential to work remotely.

This is a 12-month fixed-term role with the potential for extension or becoming permanent.

**What you'll do**:

- Coordinate patient care for those patients referred in with a suspected cancer.
- Ensure all appointments are coordinated in a timely manner.
- Work autonomously on his/her own initiative whilst also integrating effectively into both the administrative and clinical teams.
- Communicate with other members of the MDT to seek advice for patients and their family.
- Ensure patient focused care and compliance with National Cancer Targets/Improving Outcomes Guidance.
- Work closely with the oncology CNS team triaging their calls as appropriate
