**JOB DESCRIPTION & DUTIES**

**INCOME GENERATION - **Accountable for achieving the community fundraising target.

**COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING AND ENGAGEMENT** -Developing and implementing fundraising strategies to engage and inspire our community members to support our cause. Supporting activities in the community conducted by volunteers, individuals, organisations, and associations.

**EVENT MANAGEMENT **Responsible for the development and organisation of Community events and campaigns to achieve budgeted fundraising targets. Build a calendar of local community events to attend, building our profile and income.

**ORGANISATION - **Responsible for detailed proposals for events and community campaigns including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets. Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event/campaign logistics.

**MARKETING - **Liaise with the Marketing Team to publicise and promote community and events activity. Contribute to marketing information days such as but not limited to National Homeless Day, National Volunteer Day to market and celebrate Happydays UK contribution to these causes.

**FUNDING POLICY AND PROCEDURES** - Ensure all statutory compliance regarding data protection and GDPR. Be accountable for the adherence to the Charity commission guidelines for legal responsibilities and governance in dealing with fundraising income. Responsible for insurance, legal, health and safety obligations.

**FUNDRASING VOLUNTEER TEAM -** Inducted and retain a group of dedicated fundraising volunteers for community events and fundraising.

**BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS - **Work with the Head of Income Generation to build relationships and turn community fundraisers and event attendees into regular givers. Use your network and create opportunities to build relationships within the local community feeding into your fundraising target and building the charity profile.

**EVALUATION** - Hold post event evaluation meetings to celebrate what went well and what development needs are for future campaigns and events.

**SAFEGUARDING** - Take responsibility for Safeguarding of volunteers, and residents at events in line with the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. Produce and act on relevant risk assessments for each event to Safeguard our people and manage risk.

**ADMINISTRATION**:

- Be able to complete and carry out administration duties relevant to the post to ensure that you can carry out your role appropriately and effectively. Ensure that all donor details and transactions are recorded on the donor database and that all donations are promptly banked, and donors thanked.

**Please note this is not a full and exhaustive list of duties and the post holder will be required to undertake additional tasks to conduct this role appropriately and effectively.**

As travel will be necessary as part of this role it is essential you will have your own vehicle, hold a full, clean driving licence, and be insured for work purposes.

Your will be required to undertake Safeguarding Level 3 training within one week of commencing the role.
