At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for an EMC & CMS Manufacturing Engineer manager to deliver and manage the supply of technical information to Electrical Manufacturing Centre (EMC) & Component Manufacture Service (CMS) to support company milestones and production plans in alignment with the Master Production Plan (MPP).

The scope for this role is:

- Ensure that Manufacturing Engineering pursue the highest levels of industrial competitiveness along High Quality and reliability first time, Cost Efficiency and Schedule Adherence.

Please note this is a Job Family Frame Level 7.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A EMC & CMS MANUFACTURING ENGINEER MANAGER**

The EMC & CMS Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be expected, to work with all the Management levels within Leonardo Helicopters, up to and including Head of Operations and Industrial Operations. Responsible for the management, co-ordination and review of the specific responsibilities.
- Monitoring and influencing of the departments Quality, Cost & Schedule (QCD). Ensure that key financial controls are in place to monitor and report on Cost / Budget Information.
- Liaise with Stakeholders to identify and resolve the effect of product shortages to minimise impact on production.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate non-conformances both internally and externally ensuring effective correction & preventative actions, are implemented and documented.
- Provide cost estimates in support of new business and identify relevant bid inputs for new business including initiatives to promote product/service improvements.
- Develop the EMC Manufacturing Engineering programme plan detailing drawing requirement dates.
- Manage the department’s participation at relevant IPT's.
- Identify budget requirements for tasks, projects and services and support the control, management and budget reporting.
- Undertake and manage individual Business Improvement Team Projects, as required.
- Specific responsibilities for Employees are detailed within HSEMSM, Section 8.7.
- Take responsibility for understanding the Code of Ethics - Core Instruction No.PER.10.3 and making sure that you comply with it at all times whilst doing your job and, in particular, when acting for or on behalf of LHUK.

**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

**Skills/Knowledge.**
- Educated to at least HNC or equivalent in an Engineering discipline, a time served apprenticeship or relevant experience.
- 5 Years post training experience.
- Strong Leadership & Management Skills
- Ability to engage and influence key business stakeholders beyond direct team.
- Excellent communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to build strong working relationships with employees, internal and external customers
- A thorough knowledge of the Company Operating System and competent in the Manufacturing Engineering Procedures.
- Working Knowledge of CATIA (V4/V5), ENOVIA, SAP & Microsoft package software.
- Working Knowledge of Engineering Change process, Estimating, MRP & lean Manufacturing principles.
