**About the job**

As part of the purchasing team the Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for ensuring all purchase orders are processed efficiently and any changes communicated effectively. Obtaining pricing for parts as requested by the areas of the business

**Main Responsibilities**
- Raising Purchase orders with intercompany suppliers, both UK and overseas.
- Dealing with imports and expediting inbound logistics.
- Build relationships with suppliers, expediting purchase orders and advising stakeholders of changes where necessary.
- Ensure all necessary purchasing records and registers are kept fully up to date.
- Procure products to project deadlines required by the business.
- Obtain pricing for machined or OEM components for customer enquiries.
- Manage a portfolio of suppliers & service providers to J & E Hall.
- Prevent stock outs by forward planning, monitoring low stock products using the company MRP system and investigating the possibility of alternative supply.
- High attention to detail
- The ability to manage your own diary and prioritise essential tasks
- Ability to take the initiative and the confidence to work independently
- Strong communication skills, both verbally and written

**Required Experience**
- Previous experience of purchase order expediting is preferred but not essential
- Knowledge of purchase order systems and/or IFS is preferred but not essential
- IT Literate with intermediate skills in Excel, conversant with VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables.

We also support the sale of our own commercial and industrial products with a comprehensive range of spares for commercial condensing units, cellar coolers and HallScrew compressors.

The business is supported by a dedicated sales, technical and warehouse function. The Company’s central purchasing and marketing departments are also based out of the Derby office.
