**Residential Care Worker**

**Pay**:£11.06 - £11.54 an hour

£29,160 potential earnings a year which include sleep ins and on call payments.

**Job Type**:Permanent, Full-time & Part Time

**Shift and Schedule**:Core Hours 7am-10pm, 7 days a week cover is required.

Overnight sleep-ins also required (average of 6 sleep-ins per month - Paid at an additional rate £65 per sleep in)

On Call payments also made at an additional rate of £40 per day.

We are looking for a naturally caring individual who is dedicated to helping young people and children in need to join our team of care superheroes at The Forge in Nuneaton as a Residential Care Worker.

Our home specialises in working with young people who display Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This role involves working LONG DAYS & SLEEP-INS on a rota basis, you must be fully flexible to meet the needs of the children we care for.

A full UK driving license is also essential.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in this field is advantageous, however if you are looking for a change or are someone who is patient and caring with a strong level of emotional intelligence and enjoys learning new skills and experiences we would like to offer you the opportunity to join our team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff.
- Full UK driving license with access to own vehicle.
- Aged 18 or over
- Right to work in the UK
- Flexibility to work long days and sleep ins on a rota basis
- Comfortable with managing behaviours that challenge
- Passion about working with children and young people with challenging behaviour.
- Knowledge or willing to learn on how to support children and young people who experience EBD.
- A compassionate understanding of the complex needs of young people.
- Knowledge of the importance of safeguarding vulnerable young people.
- Dynamic and supportive with strong communication skills.
- An ability to work within a team to help support and motivate each other to provide outstanding care.
- The passion and dedication needed to positively impact the lives of young people.
