**Job Summary**
- Provide a fully managed Supply Chain and Logistics replenishment service for stock and non-stock products to user departments.
- Ensure that all stocks are managed appropriately and cost effectively, meeting the needs of user departments and that all products are replenished in accordance with agreed processes, policies and procedures.
- Ensure non-stock products received in Receipts and Despatch are distributed to user departments.
- Work as a team maintain an efficient replenishment process and cost effective stock levels.
- Maintain effective relationships with all key stakeholders at the site
- To use initiative and work independently with a minimum level of supervision.
- To support the adoption of Scan4Safety systems and processes at the nominated site.

**The majority of the work is manual handling 80% and Administration and Excel duties will be 20%.**

**Please note there may be medium to heavy lifting.**

**Also, some boxes may not be heavy but Big and awkward to handle, there are however heavy boxes to move to cages, mostly moved by hand to a pallet then from pallet to a cage for delivery.**

**Duties**
- For the areas you are assigned, support the Head of Supply Chain and Site Logistics Lead through the delivery of the work schedule in a timely manner
- Work as a team to ensure that items are delivered to wards and departments at the appropriate times to a standard expected by users.
- Where necessary provide operational cover for other Logistics and Supply Chain staff during periods of leave and other absences at your nominated site or at other MSE sites as required.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement activities to improve the quality of service provided to customers across the group
- Join with other team members to identify improvement ideals and define how they can be implemented and sustained.
- Undertake other duties, commensurate with the grade as and when instructed by the Line Manager.
- Always wear the departmental uniform, keep general appearance to a high standard, including cleanliness of clothing, footwear and self.
- To comply with Services and department policies and procedures.
- To attend all statutory and mandatory training as and when required to do so.
- Return empty cages and other delivery adjuncts to Receipt & Delivery area.
- Maintain security of storage and office areas ensuring only Procurement and Supplies team access the area.
- To review site stock review schedules and suggest improvements to the Site Logistics Lead.
- To advise user departments on layout, storage space, shelving, storage bins, labelling of product and housekeeping of storage areas.
- Replenish Ward Stocks using appropriate technology to ensure accurate data capture
- Ensure that periodic stock reviews are completed with user departments and suppliers to assess reorder levels and reorder quantities
- Check and put away all ordered deliveries, deal with all emergency needs outside the normal cycle and all discrepancies and locate and provide emergency supplies of products to ward/department areas when required.
- Return empty cages the Stores areas, folded and stacked awaiting collection. Any unwanted packaging to be taken to the nearest disposal bin/area
- If any supply issues or problems are identified by end users, liaise with the Site Logistics Lead to agree suitable intervention. Escalate if necessary to the Head of Supply Chain or Category Teams as appropriate.
- To ensure that the Receipts and Despatch area is organised effectively with regard to space requirements, segregation of product, e.g. receipts and returns, filing systems, tidiness and health and safety.
- To ensure the efficient receipt, checking and marshalling of products in accordance with relevant policies and audit procedures.
- Ensure all goods are receipted into the appropriate systems and documentation checked
- To ensure returns to suppliers are effectively managed, including: interpreting and identifying product codes, quantities and supplier; making appropriate administrative arrangements and amending computerised and/or paper records
- Ensure the Receipt and Delivery area is maintained in a clean and organised fashion.
- Where appropriate, liaise with suppliers to make appropriate and timely delivery and collection arrangements.
- To assist in the development and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures.
- Where applicable support the Head of Supply Chain the roll out of group wide inventory management systems.

**Experience, Skills and Education**
- Proven experience in a Logistics environment
- Competent in operating computerised stock management systems.
- Working knowledge of stock replenishment systems.
- Able to handle customer Able to handle customer queries/complaints effectively.
- Proficient user of all Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Word.
- Possess a positive attitude and be self-motivated
- Good Team Player
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to prioritise work and to meet challenging deadlines
- Finds positive solutions to challenging issues
- Sufficient to perform the duties of the post with any aids and adaptations
