As part of the Sheffield Blood and Marrow Transplant & Cellular Therapy Programme (SBMTCT), the Data Co-Ordinator post holder will be responsible for the management of the services data reporting requirements and data collection.

The post holder will be responsible for registering and adding data for blood & marrow and cellular therapy into the European Blood & Marrow Transplant (EBMT) systems.

As part of the MDT the post holder will be responsible for the provision of blood & marrow transplant and cellular therapy data management, analysis and reporting for consultants, medical staff and colleagues within the Directorate as well as external colleagues. Acting as a point of contact for data queries, the post holder will ensure that information requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner whilst complying with quality standards and local/national procedures.

The post holder will analyse, report and audit data in accordance with departmental needs to support the service. Supporting quality reporting requirements and ensure all data is in compliance with EBMT requirements.

Cellular Therapy is an exciting new service area provided by the Trusts haematology department and will require the post holder to be flexible to develop the role and support service requirements now and in the future, as new Advance Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMP) / CAR-T products become available.

To register and input complex patient information to the European Blood & Marrow Transplant (EBMT) programme to enable research by European Centre Working Parties and support recognition of the Unit as an Accredited Transplant and Cellular Therapy Centre.

To be responsible for the provision of a high-quality data management and analysis service to the consultants and other medical staff within the Directorate as well as external colleagues.

Act as a point of contact for regional, national and international data queries.

Ensure that reporting and information requirements are met in a timely, accurate manner complying with local, national and international procedures.

This role is within the Haematology department within Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STHFT), providing comprehensive specialist services for the management of data to support local, regional and national requirements.

Haematology is part of the Communicable Diseases and Specialised Medicine directorate (CDSM) and in turn, one of the three directorates within the Specialised Cancer, Communicable Diseases and Specialised Medicine and Specialised Rehabilitation (SCMR) Care Group.

The unit is a busy led nursing-led environment that provides efficient and effective day case care to patient across from South Yorkshire who require Haematology reviews and treatment including chemotherapy.

This post will work closely with clinical, administration and other healthcare professionals acting as a specialist supporting Clinicians, pharmacy, nursing teams and colleagues in support of effective quality care for patients.
