The Global Head (Director grade) of DEIB leads the ongoing evolution and implementation of our strategy and framework for DEIB across the global ERM business, in order to ensure that we reflect the communities in which we operate, increase the impact of DEIB on our people and clients and create a culture of everyday and intentional inclusion.

Description

The Global Head of DEIB provides leadership, support and direction for ERM’s inclusive culture, acting as the custodian of the global inclusion strategy, and managing the day to day activities of our network of DEIB champions across the business. This critical role provides and implements solutions to complex inclusion challenges within the framework of relevant legislation and ERM policies. It also provides a high standard of advice, support and delivery across the business on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging matters. The role-holder is expected to deliver expert advice and guidance, develop and implement strategic policies, practices and action plans. This is a key role within the business to ensure that we not only meet our diversity and inclusion aims and objectives, but also that these support and enable greater client relationships. This covers all the statutorily recognized protected characteristics and other differences. The role-holder is a member of the global Senior Leadership Team for the People Function, and has management responsibility for both global and regional DEIB team members,

Main Accountabilities- Create and drive the global DEIB strategy and annual work plan for ERM- Define “what good looks and feels like” around the Globe- Work with each geography to determine priority communities and design of local DEIB strategies- Serve as internal and external voice for ERM DEIB- Design and lead reporting periodic internally to our Board and Executive committee and externally to relevant bodies and though our external reporting on progress; on progress on global DEIB goals and representation reporting.- Lead a team of Global and Regional DEIB Managers to embed the operating model for DEIB and drive impact; implement the global inclusion strategies for under-represented groups- Partner with Senior Leadership Team to build inclusive leadership capability and integrate inclusion across the business/functions- Work closely with Regional Management Teams and other operational groups to implement and drive impact of, the global strategy- In conjunction with Group & Region HR, ensure diversity and inclusion across pay, performance, promotion, recruitment, retention and representation- Collaborate to monitor and evaluate DEIB data and trends, producing monthly reporting and regular stakeholder briefings- Build world-class Employee Resource Groups that are active, influential employee communities contributing to business success; nurture a pipeline of dedicated ERG Leaders- Work with global network to deliver ERM’s annual Global Inclusion Week and all other DEIB-related observances companywide- Lead global initiatives (e.g. allyship), partnering across functions where required- Ensure proactive communications approach (internal and external) on ERM’s DEIB activities- Work with client-facing teams to create client connections on D&I topics (good practice exchange, etc.)- Represent ERM in external forum and create thought leadership material

Leadership Capabilities- Strong working knowledge of diversity and inclusion topics, especially good practice, global evaluation frameworks, legislative requirements and emerging trends- Work experience at Director level or similar functional role in a global setting- Hands-on experience designing company policies- Good knowledge of labour and human right legislation- Experience managing diverse teams in multiple geographies; exposure to volunteer leadership groups a plus- Excellent communication skills- Excellent leadership skills, including influencing at executive level- Strong awareness of global and cultural issues- 8-10 Years experience in DEIB- Advanced degree in related field preferred
