**Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Project Officer**

**Salary from £40,229 to £48,456pa inclusive with potential to progress to £52,095 pa inclusive of London allowance.**

The EDI Office is a team within LSE that is part of the institution’s central policy-making and strategic planning. The LSE Strategy 2030 highlights our commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and to taking relevant action throughout the institution to progress matters in this area - the EDI Office is key to realising this.

The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Head of EDI and the EDI Manager; to support academic units and professional service divisions across the School in driving forward their inclusivity agendas, providing guidance, advice and training in relation to EDI knowledge and developments. The role holder will work closely with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to raise the profile of EDI activity across LSE and proactively ensure plans put in place are progressed to achieve the goals and aspirations of the institution in all areas of inclusivity.
- Knowledge and understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion and a personal and professional commitment to these; plus a strong understanding of equality legislation and the responsibilities of employers.
- Excellent and highly effective interpersonal, influencing and communication skills (both verbal and written), including compiling and delivering presentations, reports and briefings and ability to reach different audiences.
- Experience of planning and coordinating projects, training and engagement initiatives, driving forward progress towards delivery of action plans and strategic priorities.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and understand when to escalate issues.
