As a small business, we need every one of our employees to be successful. So when we hire a salesperson, we want them to have the things they need to hit the ground running. For example, we use a telephone-based business development agency to generate leadsfor them that they can follow-up on and having an old, long-established business (we have been around for 20+ years), we have leads that come in through word-of-mouth.

We have some marketing in place (we could be better at this) and want to do more.

We have an existing customer base we send a newsletter out to which salespeople can influence so they can add offers and upsell / cross-sell existing customers.

So we know our base salary is bad and it has to be because what we have to spend money on stuff to make the salesperson successful. To make it easier for them to hit their targets and build a long career with us. And if you are successful, we have a tremendouslytransparent and uncapped commission structure so you can be financially rewarded for your success. And of course, salary increases, should you be successful.

We are even happy to take people without sales experience if you want to learn (you will have to do a lot of learning yourself about sales, sales structures, processes etc...) or even someone who loves the idea of growing a small business because in reality,that's what this role is. Helping prospects to find a solution to their problems and helping us grow.

And you have to be organised Because great salespeople know how to manage their own time. Plus we need you to help drive through sales structures (reporting, sales processes) because this is a small business and every person needs to take ownership of theirarea although we naturally give a lot of support.

Our sector is almost immaterial but if you enjoy technology, that will help, hugely (we're an MSP so sell IT support, lease lines, VOIP etc...).

Also, if you need something where you need flexible working, we are happy to help as well because we will compromise for great people. It's an adult environment so sometimes as adults we have families and need flexibility.

Most important is someone who has an appetite to help us grow our little business. Because ultimately what the role's about.

The role:

- Close sales
- Follow up on generated leads
- Come up with upsell / cross-sell ideas
- Help direct a telephone-based business development agency (listen to call recordings etc...)
- Be super organised, put stuff in systems.
- Help us definte our sales processes. This is because we don't really have a sales process so need to define one.
- Post on social. Look like you are the expert
- Customer visits.
- Prospect visits with our professional services manager. The idea is he provides the technical expertise whereas you provide the sales drive
- Learn stuff. There's lots to learn about tech.
- Help create new ideas around marketing campaigns etc... Ideally, pointing out the weaknesses in the way we are selling.
- Reporting what's going on to the MD. So the ability to put numbers into a spreadsheet can't hurt.

Background:
Well, whoever you are If you are comfortable in a sales role, this means you will be organised, good at talking with prospects, great at listening and want to help us grow our little business, albeit a business turning over seven figures.

As for OTE, this is a percentage system so if you make 'x' then we pay you 'y.' We would hope you would double your base.

Why aren't we putting the name of our company on here? The reason is we'll get 10 million calls from recruitment agencies. Which is fine but we just can't get any work done and we'd rather hear from you directly
