**About us**

Biocrucible is a small biotechnology business with laboratories in Cambridge and Saffron Walden. We aim to develop proprietary molecular detection technologies deploying ultra-rapid isothermal nucleic acid amplification that enable near-patient and at-home testing for infectious disease or genetic indications. Biocrucible is part of the Sapphiros group. Sapphiros are backed by global investmant company KKR and invest in growth stage diagnostic companies.

We are hiring a Facilties Coordinator to be the first point of contact for Biocrucible and to undertake facilities and business support administrative activities at the Biocrucible sites. The role will be located at our site in St John's Innovation Park, Cambridge. Your responsibilities will be broad, see below for the main responsibilities.
- To be the main point of contact for all incoming site arrivals, including visitors, engineers, deliveries and answering telephone calls.
- Management of laboratory and office consumables, submitting orders to the purchasing team and ensuring availability of stocks for staff. Receipting and scanning of goods including processing and booking in of delivery notes.
- Business support administrative tasks, including supporting Human Resources, recording NDAs and agreements, managing inboxes and calendars, booking travel arrangements, and assisting visitors
- Organisation of laboratory and office work areas, following operational excellence framework.
- Dynamic assistant to the laboratory and wider teams, providing proactive support to all staff on site and liaising with teams at additional sites.
- Supporting H&S activities including overseeing PPE compliance, displaying permits to work, DSE assessments, organising fire marshal and first aid training and ensuring provision of safety supplies.
- Reporting laboratory equipment issues and liaising with external engineers.
- Management of waste streams, including clinical waste and recycling and laundering of lab coats.

This role will suit someone who has worked in a support role within a scientific company or institute. The ability to work efficiently as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with excellent time management skills is essential. A high level of computer literacy is required. You will be someone happy to work in an ever-changing environment with an ability to prioritise. Job shares will be considered.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
