**Job Title: Quality Specialist 6 Months Fixed Term Contract**

**Hourly Rate**:£14.48 (Plus opportunity for paid overtime)

**Location**: Larne, Northern Ireland

**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Inspection functions to check accuracy and quality of in process parts, assemblies, and materials
- Analyses special problems arising from faulty methods, defective materials, process issues, fabrication/ weld difficulties, paint issues, and recommends corrective measures.
- Initiates special reports and engineering changes to improve and maintain the quality of work produced.
- Responsible for statistical reporting.
- Responsible for processes under IS09001 and MQ12005.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
- Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
- Train other employees if and when required.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Knowledge of basic assembly and fabrication procedures and methods.
- The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.
- The ability to be able to read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings
- The ability to use a variety of hand, gauge equipment and power tools.
- Reasonable level of computer literacy would be an advantage but not essential.
- Experience in a quality position is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a lean environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and planning skills required to analyse problems in team environment and to devise and implement action plans.
- Strong customer focus.
- Attention to detail to meet quality standards.
