Mental Health Practice Lead

Toward Road, Sunderland

Permanent, Part time (18.75 hpw)

Salary from £33,250 to £43,050 pa (pro rata), plus Brilliant Benefits

**Brilliant outcomes through integrated health, housing and care. That’s when it hits home.**

This is your chance to be part of something brilliant at Home Group, where clinical interventions work hand in hand with daily support. We’re trailblazing the way in delivering brilliant long-term outcomes for vulnerable people through integrating health, housing and care.

We have a brilliant job opportunity for you to join our supported accommodation service in Sunderland, which provides support to people (aged 18+) with mental health issues and complex needs. Our service enables people to move on from 24 hour supported living, to semi-independent shared living, to living independently in the community - how amazing is that?

As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, you’ll develop our Support Workers to ensure that high quality individualised care is delivered which ensures safety, recovery, wellbeing and maximises customers independence.

As an experienced clinician, you’ll lead practice development, develop and deliver specialist training packages to our colleagues, embed core competencies as well as the overseeing of clinical supervision. You’ll also be the point of contact for individual support and coaching of the Managers in our services. You’ll really be enhancing colleagues’ knowledge and skills, promoting regular, honest and supportive feedback.

What’s even more brilliant, you’ll really be able to make your mark (there’s no red tape or mounds of paperwork here) You’ll be shaping our services and developing essential standards and quality outcomes.

With customer care at the forefront of everything we do, you’ll inspire others and advocate a philosophy of care that is person centred, maintains dignity, independence and ensures it is right for that person at that time.

You’ll also enable us to maintain high standards of support and intervention to contribute to achieving the Care Quality Commission Essential Standards.

**About us**

We’re Home Group, one of the UK’s biggest providers of high-quality housing and care and support services. We have a wealth of expertise and deliver a wide range of specialist and support services to people with complex health and social care needs.

We recognise the diverse needs communities have and provide a team of specialists and clinicians within our business, supporting the NHS’s commitment to improving health and wellbeing through innovative new models of care.

Oh, did we mention that we’re 5th in the UK’s “Best Super Large Places to Work”, 4th for “Best Super Large organisations for Women”, 9th for “Best Super Large organisations for Wellbeing”, 40th in Stonewall’s Top 100 employers and hold Investors in People Platinum Standard....? It’s our brilliant people and culture

**About you**

It goes without saying that you’ll be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and hold relevant professional qualifications. You’ll have experience of working with young people and adults with ill mental health as well as managing, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating training to colleagues on an individual and group basis.

You’ll have an eye for detail, being able to analyse complex data and make expert judgements. You’ll really impress us with your ability to unleash the potential of colleagues through offering clinical advice, coaching, mentoring and training.

You’ll also bring a creative spark and ability to understand where our customers are in their lives, using evidence-based practice, care delivery and current occupational therapy-based interventions.

As the role covers different properties across Sunderland, you'll need to have a full current driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes with business insurance cover. We'll pay you for your mileage.
- When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one._

**Working flexibly**

It’s our unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life, be it your child’s school play, your partner’s graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered. You can elect to fit these around your working day or use your flexi to take the time off.

Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours And we really mean this

**Our team**

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll report to our Senior Client Services Manager, Sarah who has worked for Home Group for 9 years in a variety of different services. Your clinical supervision will be provided by our Clinical Practice team.

We’ll also support you with your own continual professional development as well maintaining your professional registration through regular clinical supervision and reflective pra
