Main duties of the job

The Business Change Manager will work as part of a team delivering an effective service supporting the Strategic Operations Programme Director and other senior managers across the business exercising a high level of discretion and authority in decision-makingand actions to reduce the pressure on their time and workloads.
This is a key role in managing the day-to-day business of the Strategic Operations portfolio. The post holder will be responsible for a range of delegated projects to ensure the smooth running of the business and delivery of objectives.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will:
Take responsibility for the business and administrative support functions including the supervision and delivery of key action plans.
Lead on the administration of a number of key meetings. Support with the management of project trackers e.g. risks, issues, dependencies, benefit management.
Support the Portfolio Manager with the development and maintenance of key project documentation which may include the development and maintaining of project templates.

Essential criteria
- Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience
- Understanding of the principles of good governance and Board assurance
- Working in a large, multi-professional organisation
- Setting up and managing robust governance and assurance systems and frameworks
- Management and reporting of risks
- Producing reports, business cases, service specifications, policies and procedures
- Ability to prioritise and deal with competing demands and a rapidly changing agenda
- Ability to make judgments and manage and resolve highly complex and highly sensitive issues with the utmost discretion
- Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues and create solutions and to resolve problems
- Developed communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation

- Experience of managing projects and knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools such as Prince2
