***In a nutshell**:
This exciting role, reporting to the Manager - Inflight Services Operations, is accountable for managing the end-to-end planning and delivery of all Inflight Services activity relating to every charter flight operated by Virgin Atlantic. This is delivered through effective planning, engagement and delivery using consistent, efficient, and safe methodology, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction and best in-class service.

As Inflight Services - Charters & Change Lead, you will be accountable for leading change within Inflight Services, embedding change control principles across the department; representing the department at all relevant business projects; leading any relevant department projects that affect the network catering operation by documenting and delivering all change requirements. Working across the wider Inflight Services team, this role ensures that projects are delivered on time, to budget, safely and through the appropriate communication channels.

The Inflight Services operation is 24/7 all year round, therefore, the role holder may be required to work non-core hours with short notice to meet the needs of the operation. Domestic/International travel may be required at short notice from time to time and the role holder will be required to hold a full airside pass.

**IFS Charter Operations Planning and Delivery**
- Design, develop and implement the IFS Charter operations matrix, to manage the planning and delivery of varied customer requirements efficiently and effectively for charter flights operating on behalf of high-profile customers. Ensures the matrix is continually reviewed with improvements implemented to deliver best in class service.
- End to end owner of all aspects of Inflight Services charter operations, including menu provisioning; special customer requirements; galley plans; equipment; operational delivery.
- Liaises with the Food & Beverage development team with regards to food offering, especially when tailored options are required. Briefs printed menu supplier where custom menus are required.
- Collaborates and establishes strong relationships with relevant internal and external partners relating to the Inflight Service for charter flights, including the customer, Crew Experience, Commercial, Airports, Inflight Services suppliers (caterers, galley planners, equipment logistics providers, laundry suppliers) to ensure the needs of both the charter customer and Virgin Atlantic are met.
- Represents Inflight Services in commercial meetings relating to charters, including acting as the point of contact for the charter customer, ensuring a good relationship and overcoming any operational challenges the charter may bring. Ability to assess any client requests and able to decline any unreasonable or unachievable requests.
- Accountable for establishing relationships with new suppliers quickly and effectively when operating to/from airports not on the Virgin Atlantic network to deliver customer requirements in line with company standards.
- Delivers effective and thorough briefs to all collaborators for the charter operations. Ensures cost-effective operations whilst delivering the services as agreed with the client.
- Provides on-site management and oversight for all charters, ensuring product is delivered to agreed specification and quality requirements.

**IFS Organisational Change, Project Planning & Delivery**
- Provide organisational change and project delivery for Inflight Services by leading, running and implementing all change activity within the department.
- Design, develops and implements departmental change control to ensure that any project that requires change in IFS is led appropriately and all relevant customers are engaged.
- Chair project meetings and lead all cross-functional project meetings for IFS where required.
- Ensures oversight of all change and implementation projects, across Inflight Services, to ensure on-time delivery in line with the expected impact of the change.
- Attendance at ad-hoc and cross functional company project meetings to represent IFS at partner/improvement/development meetings and forums to ensure IFS capabilities are understood
- Assist and support ad hoc event requests liaising with internal and external suppliers as required
- Define scope in collaboration with all areas of Inflight Services for projects on a global or strategic scale
- Develop and maintain the work plan which identifies and sequences all activities and landmarks needed to successfully complete major projects, ensuring a schedule for project completion
