**Prepworld is looking for a Production & Logistics Planner** - responsible for producing the daily production plans, the daily plan for all outgoing finished products, and all associated paperwork.

The Production & Logistics Planner is also responsible for undertaking all of the required production administration activities.

**Main duties**:

- Ensuring all relevant planning, logistics and administration activities are completed on a daily basis. This includes playing an active part in carrying out the following activities:

- Producing all daily production plans accurately and on time - volumes, run rates, WIP etc - and delivering to the Production team.
- Producing daily out loading logistics accurately and on time - customer depot orders, pick sheets, ASNs and load manifests, and distribute to Dispatch.
- Booking of vehicles though online portals and producing loads plans and delivery notes.
- Ensuring any shortages are communicated to the wider business appropriately
- Ensure maximum utilisation of fruit within Production
- Send weekly and daily staff requests to agencies as required
- Plan and prioritise daily operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Determining manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to cover the production demand.
- Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain, collate and communicate output information (service level, staff numbers, waste tracker, overpacks, WIP adherence, SIC etc.)
- Liaising with 3rd party haulage companies regarding collection times and traffic issues to ensure 100% service level is achieved.
- Completion of Customer Issue Log
- Training Planning and Logistics Administrators to conduct all activities to the required standard.
- Compiling weekly data to support Sales Admin investigations of overs/shorts etc.
- Maintaining records and archives to support audits.
- Attending daily Production meetings - shift handover, 9am, and Midday huddle
- Completion of dispatched pallet and dolly spreadsheet
- All other reasonable administration tasks associated with production, planning and logistics including rotas, T&A system, agency trackers, etc.

**Who we are looking for**:

- Previous experience in logistics / administration (highly desirable)
- Previous experience / knowledge of a food manufacturing environment (desirable)
- Continuous improvement mind set, keen to find ways to improve performance and efficiency.
- Good communication skills in English (written, spoken and listening)
- Able to instruct and follow up on requests from Senior Management.
- Teamwork, able to work and liaise with others to ensure team goals are successfully achieved.
- Good emotional control (EI)
- Good numerical and literacy levels
- Good IT and database/system skills

**Hours of work**:
a choice of: 05:30 - 17:30 **OR** 07:30 - 19:30, with a 1 hour unpaid break each day

**Salary**: £28,000 p/a
