As we stand up the newly formed leadership team in SHEC (Safety, Health, Environment & Communities), we are looking for an Associate for the team, to drive our mission of keeping people safe and well with a ‘one team’ culture of greater collaboration across NGET (National Grid Electricity Transmission). You’ll be joining at a crucial time as we embark on a major change journey.

Working with the Head of Culture, Ethics and Behaviour, you’ll be responsible for maintaining an effective working environment for NGET, planning and leading a series of internal governance and steering discussions, bringing together key insights across NGET for internal and external events as well as other forms of communication.

Taking control of our strategy, project planning and programme activities, you’ll ensure that the most impactful activities are prioritised with measurable outcomes communicated. You’ll help to project manage a behavioural safety training programme across the NGET business, playing a major part in programme design, resource planning, stakeholder engagement and culture transformation, and performance.

You’ll drive and coordinate critical projects, initiatives, and cross-functional work ensuring progress towards operating and transformation objectives, alignment to NGET strategy and effective collaboration across the organisation.

We’re flexible on where you’re based but we would ideally like to see you in our offices in Warwick or London 1 day per week, and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.

**What you'll need**:
A self-starter, with experience of research and creating and driving projects and programmes, you’ll be comfortable driving change and great at building strong relationships across all levels of an organisation quickly.

With an aptitude for problem solving, critical reasoning and big picture thinking, you’ll be a natural influencer and effective communicator, with the ability to instil trust. A background in energy or utilities or health and safety would be an advantage, but not essential.

Good with Excel, Word & PowerPoint, you’ll be able to effectively use these packages to turn around ideas into impactful documents, visual presentations, and influential proposals.

Openness and flexibility to change, the ability to work to tight deadlines, and comfortable with ambiguity are all key as is attention to detail.
