An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the Care Group of Medicine's Management team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital as a Project Support Officer. The Neurodevelopmental team are undertaking a significant improvement programme and you will be involved in supporting all aspects of the programme to ensure it is effective and efficient.

You will work closely with the programme team to provide administrative support to all aspects of the programme, leading on specific projects and developing and maintaining good working relationships with a variety of stakeholder both internal and external to the organisation. The role will also include some data entry and validation to support and progress ongoing pieces of work.

The post holder will be required to have excellent organisational and IT skills, high level of attention to detail and be able to work independently at times.

The jobholder will provide support to the Neurodevelopmental Improvement Programme and will report into the Deputy Divisional Manager for this project.

The role will take responsibility in providing a range of project support functions to support delivery of the Neurodevelopmental Improvement Programme.

The role will involve supporting the team’s operational activities, namely coordination of internal project activity and providing general project support.

- To be a member of the Medicine Care group and provide efficient administration backup to the Neurodevelopmental Improvement Programme of work.
- Record and create reports for feedback to the Project Team. Use feedback/audit information to assist in developing further improvements within the programme.
- Ensure all required data is readily available in all areas at each phase of the project to enable it to be reported into the Medicine Care Group Reporting.
- Work closely with the Deputy Divisional Manager and identify areas for action.
- Work with staff from all specialties and areas to coordinate correct information and its implementation across clinical departments.
- Ensure that the inter-dependent relationships between the improvement programmes and stakeholders are monitored and any issues are reported to the Deputy Divisional Manager
- Contribute to and provide agreed training, and training materials required to ensure effective implementation of the programme
- To send out, collate and input information for each phase of the project.
- Contribute to the delivery of all stages of implementation plan
- To provide on-going training and support to staff throughout implementation of the programme.
- In conjunction with management and clinical colleagues take an active role in pathway redesign to overcome blockages and bottlenecks. Suggest improvements and take an active role in redesign of administrative processes to support new clinical pathways.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure information is submitted for reports to meet deadlines, following up where information does not meet the required standards or is not submitted.
- Assist the Deputy Divisional Manager and other project stakeholders with the delivery of the project, working closely with all stakeholders.
- Undertake project management information processes to promote and support the efficient operation of the team e.g. change control, configuration management, project reporting, logging and follow up of risks and issues logs, updating project plans, status and highlight reports etc.
- Assist with the development, production and validation of reports, dashboards and other information services for relevant governance boards ensuring delivery to time and the required quality.
- Responsible for the collation and input of data, ensuring that accurate and timely information is available in the appropriate format for reporting and audit purposes.
