Cdc Programme Lead

The Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) Programme Lead will lead the development of the two CDCs in North Derbyshire located at Whitworth Hospital and Walton Hospital. The CDCs will increase diagnostic capacity, improve access for patients, reduce wait times for tests and provide an opportunity to transform pathways. You will oversee the implementation of the CDCs, developing robust programme plans and work with clinicians to review pathways.
Working in the Diagnostics, Clinical Support and Cancer Services Division, this is a key leadership role working with senior colleagues and clinicians to design, implement and monitor the CDCs and pathways which will deliver high quality patient care and improved outcomes.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day planning and delivery, reporting and monitoring of the CDC. Working in partnership with leads in other departments, the post holder will ensure that the estates, procurement, recruitment and implementation of the CDC delivers on time. This will involve working in partnership and providing support to schemes to ensure the CDC model is embedded.
Working with clinical and operational teams at CRH, DCHS, UHDB and in Primary Care, the post holder will review clinical pathways to utilise additional diagnostic capacity in the community and reduce waiting times for tests. The post holder will engage with key stakeholders to motivate individuals and teams to deliver and sustain the CDC programme.

- Utilise significant experience in successful delivery of programme management to design, lead and sustain the CDC programme
- Assure delivery of the CDC programme and write progress reports and formal presentations for key stakeholders as required (including external stakeholders).
- Plan and lead the review of clinical pathways to deliver improvements
- Contribute and, where required and agreed, lead on the development of strategic documentation.
- Identify and document benefits that will be realised during and after change implementation and be able to lead complex audits of the programme data to evidence impact of improvements against identified performance metrics
- Facilitate events for a variety of staff groups including management teams and clinical teams.
- Monitor and manage budgets and resources and deliver excellent financial management of the programmes and any related cost improvement targets.
- Engage with multi-disciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams to design, plan and lead on programme/project activity and ensure alignment of improvement activity with the strategic corporate objectives of the Trust.
- Attend team and project meetings, acting as a meeting chair as appropriate to the project or programme.
