Being a
**Customer Service Assistant** with us gives you a fantastic opportunity to showcase your ability to build relationships with customers. Don’t worry though, we don’t expect you to already be an expert in our products. You’ll join our
** industry-leading apprenticeship programme**, enabling you to build the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to be best you can and to set you up for future success.
Our CCF Pursuit of Better Certificate is a 12 month Apprenticeship that will give you the tools to be successful in your role. Over the length of your apprenticeship programme, you’ll explore:
- Our safety culture within branch
- The products we sell and the services we provide
- What makes us different and keeps us as the number one choice for our valued customer base
**Training on offer**:
- As part of your role you will enrol onto a 12 month programme, you will gain a Level 2 Trade Supplier qualification. All of your learning is “on the job”, Travis Perkins values a work-life balance and there is no need for you to complete any of your work “out of hours”. The training consists of a number of modules and you will have a dedicated coach that will guide you throughout, as well as being supported by your line manager (and in my case a really supportive team who I consider to be my friends)
Just remember you are
**never too old** for a apprenticeship programme, I joined Travis Perkins as an Apprentice at the age of 26.
**Once your**
**apprenticeship**
**programme is completed you will remain a valued member of the team.**
**What’s the day-to-day?**
No two days are the same, but ultimately you’ll:
- Build relationships with customers over the counter and on the phone by taking orders, providing quotes, offering possible solutions and relatable products
- Be helpful and friendly, you will likely get to know our customers on a first-name basis
- Use your learnt knowledge of our products to assist with enquiries, provide product information, prepare quotes and help each customer with their purchase
