**Customer Advisor/Salesperson**

**Part Time, Permanent**

**Up to £25,000 per annum pro rata**

Operating for more than 70 years, Farrell’s Carpets and Vinyls is a family run carpet, vinyl and laminate retailer, with a wide customer base across Belfast. We offer a wide range of the highest quality flooring and aim to go above and beyond for all customers in delivering a bespoke customer experience.

We are now seeking to employ a Customer Advisor/Salesperson to complement our existing team. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to avail of our attractive benefits package which includes enhanced annual leave provisions and a monthly bonus scheme.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious person to show good communicative and organisational skills working as part of a team to drive sales on a daily basis. This role will challenge you to use your initiative and will involve learning about the various different types of stock and utilising this knowledge to understand customer needs and provide a unique customer experience within our store.

The appointment is available on a part-time basis. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm and Saturday, 9am to 4pm across a rotational shift pattern.

**Main duties and Responsibilities include**:

- Working as part of the team to ensure all sales targets are met
- Engaging with customers on our trade counter and provide product information
- Proactively developing new sales opportunities.
- Receiving enquiries and converting them into successful sales
- Ensuring all quotations are followed up and maximising all sales opportunities
- Providing a demonstration of our products if required
- Organising the delivery of stock
- Processing sales transactions
- Organising the fitting of products for Customers
- Assisting with the lifting and arrangement of stock.
- Assisting with the cutting of carpet and other flooring.
- General housekeeping of the store and ensuring all areas are maintained in a tidy and orderly manner.

**Essential Criteria**
- Extensive experience working in a retail environment and assisting customers
- Proven track record of selling in retail or in similar environment
- Proven track record of achieving weekly and monthly sales targets
- Ability to work alongside and communicate effectively with team members and build strong working relationships
- Strong time management skills, reliability, and the ability to effectively manage your time
- A minimum of 5 GCSE’s, including Maths & English (or equivalent qualifications)

**Desirable Criteria**
- A-Level standard of education or higher (or equivalent qualifications)
- Ability to drive a forklift is desirable
