It Will Be Your Responsibility to Assist the Supervising and Organisation of All Aspects Within the Kitchen in Order to Provide a Nutritious and Well-Balance, High Standard Dietary Service to Our Residents at The Home.

You Will Also Be Required to Plan for The Buying of Food Within Budgetary Constraints Taking into Consideration Residents Like and Dislikes and Any Special Dietary and Nutritional Needs. To Do Will Planning a Well Balanced and Comprehensive Menu Will Need to Be Created Allowing Residents to Have the Element of Choice but Keeping Wastage to A Minimum.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Assist with menu planning and development.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed. (_Ensure Storage Areas for Food Stuffs Are Clean and Tidy and That Different Foods E.G. Fresh Food Such as Meat and Vegetables, Frozen Foods and Dry Goods Are Stored in Correct Places and Containers at The Correct Temperatures)_
- _Ensure Cleaning Methods and Standard of Cleanliness Meets Hygiene Rules and Regulations._
- _Keep Records of Kitchen Cleaning Rota Up to Date._
- _Ensure That All Food in Fridge Are Dated and Labelled If Being Kept for Further Use and All Foods Left Over Are Covered._
- _Keep Daily Records of The Fridge and Freezer Temperature Readings and Report If There Is Any Change or Fault and Try to Ascertain Cause for Problem._
- _Ensure Adequate Stock of All Foodstuffs Are Kept and Participate in Ordering of Weekly Fresh and Dry Goods in Conjunction with Matron/Nurse in Charge._
- _Maintain All Equipment in Working Order and Report Any Faulty or Broken Equipment._
- _Ensure All Kitchen Refuse and Waste Food Is Disposed of In Correct Bins for Collections._
- _Ensure When Receive Delivery Check All Items._
- _All Kitchen Assistants Are Responsible for Serving and Assisting Breakfast to Residents Who Requires Assistance._
- _Undertake Any Other Reasonable Request Made by The Management/Nurse in Charge._

**Skills**:

- Proven experience as a cook in a catering or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 28 per week

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
