**Role: Head Cook**

**SALARY: £11.50 - £12 per hour**

**40 hours per week contract.**

**Additional shifts may be available.**

As the Head Cook at Bramble Lodge, you must be a passionate and caring person who is able to work with our management team to produce nutritious meals for our residents. You must have a sympathetic understanding of the nutritional requirements of elderly people.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Implement and monitor the daily routines to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, liaising with the management team.
- Delegate duties to and supervise the kitchen staff, ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Ensuring a cleaning routine, keeping with all environmental health requirements is devised and maintained.
- Prepare menus in accordance with the availability of food and the wishes of residents, ensuring that well balance, nutritional, and appealing are prepared.
- Ensure that food is ordered and stored in accordance with legal requirements.
- Cater for special diets or requests as appropriate.
