Birmingham, United Kingdom National Fostering Group Full time

**Job Title**:Referral Co-ordinator

**Location**: Birmingham Business Park

**Contract Type**:Permanent

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week

**Salary**:£21,500 increasing to £23,500 following successful probation

*We are currently trialling a 4-day working week to ensure our employees experience a fantastic work life balance, we hope to continue this after the trial*

If you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of children and young people, we have the role for you

**We have a fantastic opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic Referral Coordinator to join our team at the Midlands Office, who will part of making positive contributions to changing the lives of children and young people.**

**About the Group**

We are the National Fostering Group - the UK’s largest independent fostering family.

With over 20 years of experience in foster care, we are committed to finding dedicated foster parents able to provide a safe and supportive environment for children and young people across the UK.

Our family of 30 specialist, independent fostering agencies cover the entire UK by supporting communities locally. Whether that be children and young people or potential foster carers looking for short or long-term foster placements, our expert teams work closely with Local Authorities and Trusts across the country to find the perfect fostering opportunities.

In England, we are proud of the fact that 100% of our regional fostering provisions have been officially recognised by Ofsted as either ‘Outstanding’ or ‘Good’. Our high standards are replicated and equally highly regarded by the Care Inspectorate for Scotland and the Care Inspectorate Wales.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious team player who has a passion to be part of changing children’s lives for the better

Based in our National Fostering Agency Midlands office, you will work within the Referral Hub whereby your role is to safely match Looked After Children to our pool of dedicated foster carers (across five Fostering Agencies within the region)

Ideally you will have experience or understanding of Looked After Children, and/or Local Authority structure and needs, particularly in the provision of services for children and young people, though this is not essential.

You will however need to be self-motivated and dynamic to work efficiently and creatively both alone, as part of a team, and remain calm under pressure.

**But what else is in it for you? Your health and wellbeing are important to us, so you’ll get an exceptional reward package including**:

- Up to 39 days annual leave each year (25 base entitlement + 1 One moment in time + 8 bank holidays + ability to buy up to 5 extra days)
- Life Assurance
- Pension scheme with options to increase your contributions
- “Your Wellbeing Matters” - access to a wide range of first-class mental health support services and physical health checks

**And a market-leading benefit offering through our Flexible Benefits Platform, Vista, enables you to choose the package that’s right for you, including**:

- A wide range of health, wellbeing, and insurance benefits
- 100’s of discount options valid in the UK and abroad
- Cycle to Work Schemes

**And that’s not all, we place the outcomes of the children and vulnerable young adults in our services at the heart of everything we do, so you’ll wake every day in the knowledge that your role will have a significant positive impact on the lives of others.**

**We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all employees to share this commitment and undertake appropriate checks.**

**We are an Equal Opportunities employer.**
