Recruitment Assistant

Key tasks will include but will not be limited to:

- Provide a comprehensive administrative support service for the Recruitment Team.
- Be the first point of contact and response as well as ensuring the distribution and escalation of queries received via the recruitment generic mailbox.
- Collating and distributing vacancy schedules, supporting documents and other recruitment data when required.
- Undertake pre-employment checks eg. Disclosure Scotland checks.
- Undertake typing and word processing duties.
- Maintain departmental files including paper and computer records.
- Assist the department with various aspects of the recruitment process.
- Provide general administrative support such as photocopying, shredding, opening and stamping mail and provide cover for other members of staff as necessary.
- Raising Purchase Orders.
- Data entry for various internal systems.
- Provide support generally and flexibly within the department covering for other staff members as required.

Essential Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

- Relevant experience in a general office role, for example typing, administration
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (eg Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Experience of maintaining computerised and manual records.
- Understanding of discretion or confidentiality in the workplace
- Experience of working in Recruitment is desirable.
