Clinical Psychologist / Psychological Therapist(Fixed Term/ Secondment for 12 Months)

We are now seeking a practitioner to join CAMH’s Specialist Early Attachment and Development Team (SEADs) for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The Specialist Early Attachment and Development (SEAD) team is a multi-disciplinary early childhood CAMHS team covering the Bradford District. We are a small team directly comprised of clinical psychology, specialist occupational therapy and child psychotherapy thus we have a depth of experience in working with children and families during the earliest years of life. We work with families where there are significant concerns around the family psychology, child development, attachment relationships and complex intergenerational trauma. Often the child is Child-in-Need or on a Child Protection Plan. We offer consultation, thorough holistic assessment, and a range of therapeutic interventions (including Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP); Video Interaction Guidance (VIG); Thera-play; Reflective Parenting & Psychoanalytical Psychotherapy). We adopt an ecological and multicultural framework to understanding child development and wellbeing.

The post is funded by the Reducing Inequalities in City programme (RiC). Over the 12-month contract, the post holder will be an integral part of the ongoing running of the project and be directly involved in enhancing the capacity of SEADs across Bradford City.

Due to this being a fixed term contract, we are looking for a therapist or psychologist who can swiftly step in and support the day-to-day clinical needs of the SEAD service. The role would suit someone who is passionate about working with families and children in their earliest years. The role would also require a practitioner who is compassionate, caring, reflective and playful in their approach. An understanding and working knowledge of child and family psychology, complex attachment trauma and maltreatment and an ecological perspective on early childhood problems would be very valuable.

We are a provider of award winning, high quality mental health, community and learning disability services that look after the 'whole person', caring for their physical and mental health needs. We work with individuals, their carers and our partners to ensure that people get the right care, in the right place with the right support.
